A Beautiful Mess

Sore fingers and sleepless nights, I haven't experienced this since secondary school when I was up makings and selling rings. Nostalgic! Sneak peek of my army of friendship bracelets that are going up on sale soon. Let's hope they sell well!

Work in Progress: Friendship Bracelets

Friendship bracelets have made a comeback. I used to wear them as anklets in secondary school! Ahh...memories. How I wish I could be that young again. But anyway, these were pretty easy to make, though all that finger work has made mine totally sore and unusable for the next 2 days. Tutorials up soon! For now, plans for these are basically made to sell, for charity! I'm heading to Myanmar to build a library for orphans so we need all the money we can get. Hopefully I can make a decent amount from this so they have a pretty library to grow up in.

Wood&Faulk

Check out Matt from Wood&Faulk, a designer and builder. His website features beautiful projects that make my heart flutter. I have never felt so excited while looking at wood and leather. I think you'll get an idea after seeing these pictures of his latest projects, a DIY tripod chair and camera strap. Makes me wanna buy some leather now and start DIY-ing!

Less and More

Totally fascinated with this creation while Etsy-browsing the other day. I'm so glad I have a product designer as a boyfriend who can make things like this happen for me! Can't wait till I have a place of my own so I can decorate and go crazy with the ideas I have in my head right now.

DIY: Woven and Braided Bracelets

How pretty are these babies? Breaking out the pliers and chains! Time for some major DIY...

I love unique jewellery, especially handmade ones. And having too much time on my hands I decided to DIY a couple of pieces. I started out really calm and collected, and halfway through I almost went crazy with frustration because I got really confused with the instructions. But here's what I have so far!

Braided Hex Nut Suede bracelet

 Woven Embroidery Thread bracelets

I might post a tutorial on these soon, but be forewarned that this is not for the weak! 4 hours and plenty of broken nails later I only have 5 bracelets to show...how pathetic. But now that I'm used to making them, maybe soon I will have an arsenal of these to mix and match! Awesome possum.
